Golden State Framers is a commercial wood framing company which treats every project as a symbol of our integrity. Quality is uncompromised. Training in fall protection, nail gun usage and general safety practices are considered in the highest regard. It is our realization that the ultimate goal in any endeavor is to ensure success for all involved, including the work force, and that this is accomplished in a very large part by sending them home to their loved ones safe and sound, every day. Our mission is to provide our customers with the best product money can buy, and a clean and safe work place is essential to reaching that goal.

Leadership

Golden State Framers has been a leader in the construction industry due to its strength as a “family.” With the exception of its President, who joined the company in 1995, GSF’s entire upper management team has been with the company since its inception, with most coming from the field ranks starting as apprentice carpenters, ascending to foreman and now serving as field superintendents, estimators and Vice Presidents. It is this sense of accomplishment, along with the accolades and pride that comes from being the best, that drives GSF toward excellence.

It is with the leadership of Mr. Dunbar and Mr. Viano that the company will continue to grow. The vision of growth promoted by these two men offers great opportunities to our employees beyond that which most union contractors can offer with regards to education, incentive programs, and help when in need. History

In 1983, Gary Viano, embarked on a venture that has evolved into what is often referred to by our clientele as “the industry standard in commercial rough carpentry.” From a small nucleus of wood framers headed by Gary Viano as General Manager, Ron Larsen as Vice President of Operations, and later the addition of Mr. John Dunbar as President, Golden State Framers has evolved into one of Southern California’s most highly respected wood framing contractors.
